Loewenstern was born in Boca Raton, Florida. From
an early age, Brett’s parents noticed and encouraged
his musical talent.
He began playing the piano at four years old. Brett
can also play the guitar and in his spare time, he
likes to write poetry and music. He has what is called
a perfect pitch, which is the ability to listen to
music and then play it. Music has always been his passion,
which is easy to see once you hear him sing as clearly,
he can feet the music deep in his soul.
Academics have always been important
in the Loewenstern house. Brett is still

The "American
Idol Experience".
In July of 2010, on a family trip to Disney
World, Brett tried out the "American Idol Experience".
That event led Brett to audition for the Fox TV show American
Idol in New Orleans and the rest as they say is history.
In New Orleans, Brett greatly impressed the judges and
was chosen to move on to the Hollywood round. Out of the
estimated 110,000 contestants that tried out in six cities
across the nation, only 320 moved on. After numerous auditions,
Brett advanced to become a Top 24 semifinalist.
Brett had the opportunity to perform his
original song, 'Bullet
Proof Vest', on American Idol. The ballad illustrated
how he felt as a student being bullied by his peers. Despite
being a black belt at age 10, Brett realized that people
are much more dangerous when they hurt you with words.
The song was written to demonstrate how no matter what
others say about you; the words are like bullets that you
must have bounce off of your chest. You should love yourself
no matter what. The songwriting/recording process is a
lot of patience and hard work. On all his tunes you can
expect a lot of energy and true emotion.
Brett inspires people through his music. He has the ability
to write poetry and put it into a song. He is a young,
rising star that not only has demonstrated his talent as
a singer on national television, but has shown his honor
as a person in the same forum.
On national television one of his peers on Idol, was mercilessly
bullied out of his group. That is when Brett stepped into
action and pulled him in with open arms to sing along with
his group. His compassion for others was clearly shining
through on the day as he acted as an incredible role model. He
really loves inspiring people and being a role model for
every one of all ages. "My goal is to show people
that we should love one another for who we are."
You Can’t Judge A Book By Its Cover
Brett would like to contribute his creative
twists and individuality. He hopes to show that you can’t
judge a book by its cover. It is his believe that everything
you do in life brings you to the point in where you are
meant to be, and he wouldn’t do anything different,
As he just continues to learn and grow as an artist.
Since being off the show Brett has performed
at many charitable events in his home town of Boca
Raton. His best experiences have been doing charity events
because he loves to give back to the community. He has
began expanding beyond that to performing at different
venues locally. He tells us he has been truly inspired
by many artists such as Pink, Amy Winehouse, Adam Levine,
Janis Joplin, Adele, and Mary J. Blige to name a few. admitting
if he could play with any musician in history who would
it would be Janis Joplin. "I couldn’t have been
where I am today without G-d and the beautiful support
of my family!"
Brett believes just because you’re different, it
doesn't make you weak! You should follow your dreams and
if you are lucky in life you should always give to those
left fortunate whether its money or time. Giving back to
your community is essential. Along with Brett’s dreams,
we have the wonderful place of watching and enjoying with
him. Speaking in the most humble way possible, he believes "If
I continue with my drive and ambition, hopefully I can
accomplish my goal of winning a grammy!" Expect to
see more performances, and this rising star working hard
to create the best possible music that he can! |
